CONF-CIAP 2024
The 3rd International Conference on Computing Innovation and Applied Physics (CONF-CIAP 2024) was a hybrid conference which includes several workshops (offline and online) around the world. Dr. Ella Haig from University of Portsmouth, Dr. Marwan Omar from Illinois Institute of Technology, Dr. Derek Mohammed from Saint Leo University, Dr. Anil Fernando from University of Strathclyde, and Dr. Yazeed Ghadi from Al Ain University have chaired these workshops on related topics. CONF-CIAP 2024 provided the participants with good opportunities to exchange ideas and build networks, and it will lead to further collaborations between both universities and other societies.

The workshop on “Employing Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Web and Social Media Textual Data” took place on January 24, 2024 at the University of Portsmouth. Dr. Ella Haig, Associate Professor in University of Portsmouth chaired the Workshop. Several computational tools for textual data analysis were covered, and three case studies were included for discussion among the participants. The workshop "Harnessing the Power of Deep Learning to Revolutionize Technology" was successfully held on January 22, 2024 at the ITM Department, Illinois Institute of Technology, chaired by Dr. Marwan Omar, Associate Professor in Illinois Institute of Technology. The workshop aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of deep learning and its practical applications. Through a combination of interactive lectures, hands-on exercises, and real-world case studies, attendees will delve into the core concepts of deep learning, including neural networks, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), recurrent neural networks (RNNs), and generative adversarial networks (GANs). The proposes the implementation of an autonomous image advertising rating system, aimed at assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their efforts to compete in the costly and cutthroat online advertising industry. The 3rd International Conference on Computing Innovation and Applied Physics (CONF-CIAP 2024) was held on January 27, 2024. Dr. Ella Haig from University of Portsmouth, Dr. Derek Mohammed from Saint Leo University, Dr. Yilun Shang from Northumbria University, Dr. Anil Fernando from University of Strathclyde, Dr. Yazeed Ghadi from Al Ain University, and Dr. Javier Cifuentes-Faura from University of Murcia have given keynote speeches on related topics of mathematics and applied mathematics, applied physics, etc. Also, we invited authors of qualified papers to deliver oral presentations at the Online Session. Authors have presented their studies of applied physics, mechanical design, deep learning, etc. Questions from the audience were collected and answered by the presenters.

Accepted papers of CONF-CIAP 2024 were published in Theoretical and Natural Science (TNS) (Print ISSN 2753-8818), and were submitted to EI Compendex, Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI), Crossref, CNKI, Portico, Inspec, Scopus, Google Scholar and other databases for indexing.
